Subtitle: Tiny Changes Remarkable Results

Success is more often a result of good habits than occasional heroic acts. Many of us try and fail to build good habits because we try to do too much at once, fail to reach our own expectations and give up.

1% improvements add up very quickly over time. Within a year, a consistent 1% improvement everyday can lead to a 37% improvement overall. But this is only theoretical, because identifying and making a 1% improvement takes longer than a day. Atomic Habits are such small improvements which when aggregated over time can make a huge difference. Just like a bamboo tree seems to show no growth in the first few years and then shoots up within a year, atomic habits slowly build up over time eventually making you a very successful person.

An atomic habit is a very small action that triggers a bigger habit. Putting on your track suit is an atomic habit that triggers the bigger habit of jogging.
